Policies/terms and conditions

Two happy brown and white dogs outdoors.

Meet and greet

Before your first booking an obligatory meet and greet must take place for me too meet you and your pet(s) to ensure that we're a good fit. This is also an important part of me building trust with your pets so they can feel comfortable and secure in my care.

Meet and greets will usually take place in your home however they can also be carried out in a public place such as a cafe as long as all of the pets I will be looking after are present.

Group walks

Before any dog can join our group walks I will need to have walked them solo so I can get to know them and see what other dogs they will be best grouped with.

To ensure the comfort and safety of myself, the dogs, and the public, any dogs with a history of aggression will not be allowed to join our group walks.

I also ask that you notify me if your dog is in season so I can make the necessary changes.

Weather policy

The safety of your pet is my absolute priority. Walks may be modified or substituted based on environmental conditions to prevent heatstroke, frostbite, or injury.

Walks will be reassessed if temperatures rise above or drop below a certain temperature (this will be assessed based on individual dog breeds, health conditions, etc).

Walks may also be reassessed during active weather warnings. (e.g., torrential rain, lightning, heavy ice, or snow).

During times where it’s too hot for walks to go ahead as planned they will either be moved to cooler times of the day (provided that there are times of cooler temperatures) or substituted for house/garden visits. For walks that can go ahead during warmer days I will take great caution. Safety measures may be put in place such as changing walking routes, no ball games, slower paced walks or shortened walks.

During times when it’s too cold for walks, providing I can still access your property, walks will be substituted for garden/house visits.

K9 ID tags

In line with the Control of Dogs Order 1992 all dogs must wear a collar with their owners details when out on walks. Please ensure that before your dog comes out with me they have a name tag with up to date information in case of emergency.

Security cameras & privacy policy

I fully respect your desire to secure your home. However, to maintain a safe, private, and comfortable working environment, the following rules apply:

  • Mandatory Disclosure: Owners must notify me of all operational indoor security cameras or audio-recording devices inside the property.

  • Strict Private Zones: No cameras or recording devices are permitted in bathrooms that I may use. For overnight pet sitting services, no operational cameras are permitted in the designated guest bedroom used by myself.

  • Camera Removal/Deactivation: Any recording devices located in bathrooms or the designated sitter bedroom must be physically removed, unplugged, or fully deactivated by the client prior to the start of the service window.
